Jalgaon Train Accident LIVE: In Maharashtra’s Jalgaon, a tragic incident was reported on Wednesday. While Pushpak Express was on its way to its destination on January 22, a false fire alarm was raised at Jalgaon’s Paranda Railway Station.
The situation triggered panic among passengers due to which some of them jumped off the train. As per media reports, Karnataka Express was running across the same route during that time and around 8 to10 passengers who ran for safety on its tracks were crushed under the moving train while 30 to 40 others sustained injuries.

Pushpak Train Accident LIVE: Information and Publicity Department of Railway Board, Executive Director, Dilip Kumar said, “A few passengers pulled alarm chain on Pushpak Express and deboarded the train. Bengaluru-New Delhi Karnataka Express was coming from the other side. We have received information of grievous injuries to a few passengers after getting hit by it,” ANI reported
Dilip Kumar informed that several people had boarded the train from Bhusawal and one of the pulled the alarm chain. Passengers “deboarded the train and either tried to cross the train in a wrong manner or were standing on the tracks. Due to this, they were hit by the train,” Dilip Kumar said.

Pushpak Train Accident LIVE: Central Railway CPRO Swapnil Kumar Leela describing the Pushpak Express train mishap said, “A chain pulling incident occurred on the Lucknow-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Pushpak Express between Maheji and Pardhade stations. The train had stopped, after which some passengers from a coach stepped out. Meanwhile, Karnataka Express, going in the opposition direction, was passing through the next track.”
He added, “In this, 7-8 passengers were injured because of the train (Karnataka Express). Ambulances are being sent to the spot. Accident Relief Train from Bhusawal Mandal has also been rushed to the spot.”
